I, too, am praying for Stellan. I don't remember how I found your website, but you have been in my bookmarks for quite some time. I, too, am a transplant to Atlanta, but I am from DFW in Texas. And...believe it or not, I too, am thinking of homeschooling my child. Have you homeschooled from the very beginning? What was your determining factor in deciding to homeschool them?

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I just noticed your comment. As you can see, I haven't posted in awhile. Anyway...this is our 1st year of homeschooling and my ds is in 2nd grade. Homeschooling is something we thought about from the beginning, but I took some time to get the nerve up to do it I guess. I could go on for hours about why I chose to do it w/o ever really making a good point. : ) Basically it reached the point where I still kept wondering if I should be HS even tho I was very happy with the school he was in. I finally decided I either needed to let the idea go or bite the bullet and do it. I realized I could not let it go so here we are. I read pretty much every book written on the subject. The one that finally hit home for me was "Homeschooling: The Early Years" by Linda Dobson. I knew after reading it I had to give HS a shot or I would always wonder "What if..." It hasn't always been easy, but I have not regretted the decision at all.
If you have any more ?? feel free to post.
